I love my current design but just wanted to change things up a bit so stay tuned to see the finished product... I can't wait! In the mean time, go check out her giveaways! :)
Have a fantastic weekend!

...Another door opens...

When this door closed, life as I knew it changed. Deep down, I was extremely mad and very emotional (probably had something to do with the fact that I had just given birth to my second child). I was totally unsure and didn't know what to do next. Now, I am 100% convinced that it was a blessing and that it did happen for a reason. Reasons only He knows. After lots of praying and dreaming dreams. I'm so excited about walking through a new door in my life. With Mark being on deployment, me staying at home with the girls and having the help/support of my immediate family, I have decided to go back to school full time and study photography. I just singed up for a full load and will be staring this fall. So, English, Humanities, Speech, and Photography... here I come! :)
Why photography? After having two sweet girls and taking about million snapshots of them, I have come to realize that those snapshots I take are a passion. Just ask my husband... I'm always the annoying person taking too many pictures. I want to create art and memories to cherish for a lifetime. Every time we've had our family pictures taken, I get so excited, I just can't wait to see them. I've been inspired by other photographers. I'm confident in myself and know that somewhere deep down, I also have a creative seed. It just needs a little water to grow. I would love to one day take beautiful pictures that will make others smile on the inside and out. I know it's not going to happen over night and that it could take a few years to up and running so I'm going to do my best to be patient with myself. It's going to be a long road of learning, experimenting, and maybe even a little sweat but I know I can do it. I could not be more excited then I am right now.
Now, if only Wednesday could hurry up and get here so I can play with my new DSLR camera!! Thanks husband! ;)

Happy Father's Day to our Hero!

Dear Mark,

Today you will have to let this post serve as your "Happy Father's Day" card. Considering the fact that I just got your new address on Friday, I wasn't able to put your singing (I know just how much you love the singing ones) Father's Day card in the mail on time. Sorry love. I want you to know that you are an EXTRAORDINARY Husband to me and Father to Addison and Lillian. I admire that you're a patient, loving, protective, playful, and when you need to be, tough Dad. You have such an amazing bond with both girls. I think we both know that Addison is a Daddy's girl and I'm sure Lillian will too. We will do our best to strengthen that bond over the next year of separation. It's already breaking my heart to hear Addison ask "Mommy, when are we going to pick Daddy up from the airport?" and "Where's my Daddy?" and you've only been gone 2 weeks so far. It's going to be difficult for all four of us but together we will have a "can do" Seabee attitude. We love you so much and wish that we could spend this Father's Day together going to church, eating out for lunch, taking our Sunday nap, going to the park, cooking dinner, watching a Disney movie, followed by a bedtime story but instead I want to reflect on a few lots sweet Daddy moments that you've shared with our sweet daughters...
The day you became a Daddy. Holding Addison in your arms for the first time.

We were so proud!

Mark, I hope all of these wonderful memories bring smiles and maybe even happy tears to your face. We miss you and are so proud of you for serving our country. We love you so much and want to wish you, our hero, a Happy Father's Day!
WE LOVE YOU ALL THE TIME!

Happy Father's Day!
